How to Get Followers On Instagram

If you have been following me for a while, you may know that I have a primary brand and now Djangonaire is my second one. Whatever I learn from my other websites, I put up here. So today I will share with you how I reached 2k followers in a few weeks on Instagram. It took me 6 months because I was inconsistent. I had two small stores (one is on the verge of closing), and I have to do Instagram marketing for them. Now, I have decided to take a break and give a few hours each day on my Djangonaire Brand.

And for today, I have decided to share my strategy for how to increase followers on your Instagram account.

Level 1 — Gain Your First 100 Followers

This is the easiest one to do. At the start, you’ll be feeling as if the followers are not increasing but after a few days, you’ll watch it grow. Many are curious about how to gain their first 100 followers. I am listing here the ways you could do so.

  1. Improve your bio and add a professional image to your Profile. You don’t have to do some photoshoots, it should be just decent because most of the users will recognize you through your profile pic.
  2. Add contents of your chosen niche. You should have at least 10 decent-looking posts. You can use Canva for creating posts quickly without any outer help.
  3. Now, the tags. Add up to 6–7 tags in the post. Previously, with my older brand, I was adding only three because someone told me to do so. But in reality, it was the opposite. I lost so many months just because I wasn’t having enough reach.
  4. Ask your friends or family to follow you on Instagram. Doesn’t matter if their niche is different. We’ll do it right once we reach 1000 followers.

Level 2 — Level Up the Game With Your 1000 Followers

  1. Find a larger brand in your chosen niche. This will help you save time finding people individually. By doing so you have identified your target audience.
  2. Before doing anything, first, check if the followers are real. I never had been followed by any bots on any of my accounts (except Twitter) but still, you have to be sure that you are not wasting your time on any bot or a fake account.
  3. Select only those accounts which have decent followers (around 300). Because they are likely to follow you back.
  4. Unfollow those who don’t follow you (you can do so if you like). You can use any software for this or simply do it manually.
  5. Warning — don’t follow more than 10 accounts a day. The number is much higher but I want you to follow only those accounts that can be your target audience.

Level 3 — Become A Pro With 2000 Followers

Here, the game changes tremendously. You have to engage with other accounts.

See… what you want, is the same thing that other people want. They too want their account to be followed and they want people to like and comment on their posts. So you give them what they want. Like and comment. That is engagement.

You can make a good comment and then copy it for the entire day. Make a small sweet comment and then paste it wherever required (altering it a little). You don’t have to type it manually if you don’t want to. I know personally how hard it is to engage with the posts. It’s time-consuming. Energy draining as well. So my advice is to just paste the same comment in a few posts if you are lazy. Just don’t overdo it.

Note — I did this only at the start. For going beyond 2k, this will not work.

When people will see your comment, 60% chances are that they will visit your profiles too. This has never failed me. Not even once.

Tip of the day

Make sure you understand the demographics based on your chosen niche. It is much easy to sell fitness products on Instagram than on Twitter.

Tell me how you increased your followers on Instagram. It will help others to reach their goals! See you soon!
